Have you ever wondered to yourself is it better if I rent a vehicle versus out right purchasing or leasing one. Well, most of us have been in this situation.

Lets say you own a business and you need a 15 passenger van because you need to commute workers from the job site to the hotel. You have a multi million dollar project that is going to take months to complete. What should you do? Should the company rent, lease or just buy a vehicle for the duration of the project?

Here are some pros and cons of renting/leasing

When you rent a vehicle you will not have to worry about a monthly payments for the next 5 years or whatever terms the financing company offers

Most rentals companies will have maintenance coverage for all or most of the maintenance you might encounter for the duration of the rental

Insurance is a big factor. Most states require a minimum of liability coverage on any vehicle that a company or individual owns. Insurance coverage can add up after while. When you rent, a rental company in some cases must provide primary coverage on their rental vehicle. A company or individual will save on additional coverage if you have your own commercial or personal insurance coverage, in this case you may decline additional coverage such as collision damage waiver and supplemental liability coverage

Ability to upgrade vehicle or downgrade to a smaller one. If you buy a vehicle you can not switch without going through the hassle of paper work. When you rent, it a simple call to the rental agency to make that switch

You get a newer vehicle with perks like global positioning satellite or satellite radio to name a few

No down payment required. In some cases there might be a deposit required to rent but this cost should be lower than the average down payment

No penalties for returning the rental at anytime

Here are some Disadvantages of renting

Weekly rental rates go on for as long as continue to rent without ownership

You can not customize the vehicle. If you do, you will be charged for modifications. So do not go pimping the ride like they do on MTV, that will cost you big

Finally you must maintain the vehicle in good condition, or you will have to pay excess wear-and-tear charges when you return it

Of course these are some of the benefits and disadvantages of renting. Everyone will have to make that call to determine what factor works and does not work

PASSENGER VAN RENTAL, VAN RENTAL , MINIVAN RENTAL

With the technological advancements in the last 20 years constantly changing, how to market products and services have also changed. Business owners used different methods of advertising, some of which are still being used today. Methods that are still common are newspaper, radio, billboard and television advertising to name a few.

New areas of advertising can be cost effective but does require a different approach, such as online marketing. Do you have to be tech savvy? Not really, but being familiar with the internet does help.

Lets look at pay per click advertising (PPC) for example. By definition it is an online marketing model used on websites, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. To setup an online marketing account, you first need a website. When you build your website there should be keywords on the site which is relevant to what services you offer, search engines pickup on the keywords and in a nutshell a business owner can gain more exposure. Now, one major advantage of pay per click advertising is one does not need a store front location, business owners can market product and services from anywhere in the world.

So here are a few benefits of Online Marketing

Advertisers can setup a Pay Per Click account with one or a few of the search engines. You will have a number of different methods of monitoring the campaign such as choosing different keywords that are relevant to the products or services you are offering

You will have the ability to run different Ads simultaneously

Advertisers can set a daily limit

Set a monthly budget. Start small and monitor the campaign to make certain you are not spending too much

Target a specific State, zip code, or area

The ability to advertise alongside a competitor that is bigger in size and brand recognition. If a business starts an online campaign this can be huge so build your website with proper keywords and select the right keywords

The advertiser as you can see is in total control of how much exposure your business can achieve

The good thing about this article is, it is based on personal experience. So, look into different and new ways of advertising, more exposure to your products or services equals potential bottom line increase.

Choosing a good mechanic can make a big difference when it comes time for costly repairs. In the past, a lot of consumers used mechanics based on recommendation. This is still a highly suggested route in choosing a trust worthy mechanic.

So, what are some things you should consider even if one is recommended to you?

Years in business is a good place to start. If a company has been in business for many years, you take your car to their shop and there is no one else around, this could be a red flag. It is just like going into a restaurant, if every time you go there and there is no one else around this speaks volume. Usually when a product or service is good, it attracts others.

I own my own business and I find that find choosing the right mechanic saves my company thousands of dollars per year.

I chose my mechanic after he was recommended to me. At first I did not trust him even though he was recommended but after using him for engine replacement I would recommend him to any friend or family member.

A good mechanic listens to you about what problems you are having with your vehicle. Then after you explain your issues a diagnostic test will be performed. Some mechanics will not charge a diagnostic fee when you have the necessary repairs done at their shop.

When the problem is detected they will contact you, let you know the issue and ask if you would like it repaired or replaced. Someone who is not honest will want to initiate repairs then contact you in the middle of the job and say, oh by the way, it is going to cost such and such. They will notify you of total cost of repair. Ask if the quoted price includes taxes so you can have a complete idea of cost.

A good mechanic will treat your vehicle like their own. This means good replacement parts will outfit your ride. Some after market parts are not the best fit for your vehicle and if your mechanic has the necessary experience, he or she should know this. Be wary of the mechanic who tells you the part will cost $75.00, he or she pays $50.00 and end up making twenty-five dollars in profit plus labor charges

There is so much to keep in mind when choosing a good mechanic. Here is a list

Family or friend recommendations

Years in Business

Licensed in the State

Traffic volume at there shop

Listening to your concerns

Quoted price honored

Advertised specials honored, no bait & switch

Guaranty on Labor

Manufactured warranty honored

Test drive of Vehicle after repairs

You might even want to go online to see what others have said

Now, there is much more you can take into consideration but generally this has worked for me and my business. For us, like I mentioned before, a good mechanic saves us thousands per year on necessary expenses. In our business we can not afford costly brake downs or unnecessary repairs and a good mechanic will help to avoid both.

Have you ever wondered when it is okay to purchase auto parts from the dealership vs aftermarket parts? Well, personally, I have learned it all depends on what part is being replaced. By definition, an aftermarket part is any part for a vehicle that is not sourced from the car maker.

A number of companies make parts designed to function the same, or in some cases even better than the original. Lets start off with a actual example. About two months ago I drove one of our rental vehicles and I heard a slight clicking sound in the front end, right side. I took the vehicle to the company mechanic, he test drove the van and then placed it on a lift. The slight clicking sound was from the right side shock tower bearing. The shock tower bearing needed to be replaced.

I replaced the tower bearing with a aftermarket product. Two months later after a customer returned the rental I heard the identical clicking sound. I was surprised because the company replaced the part just two months earlier. The company mechanic recommended that I replace the same part with a part from the dealership, as opposed to aftermarket so I did.

Two months later, the replacement part from the dealership is holding up pretty good. That is not to say one is better than the other because I can give other examples where I have been happier with aftermarket purchases.

Most aftermarket products performs very well, and even better than the dealership parts. I think it all depends on what part you are replacing. So, if you have purchased aftermarket products for your vehicle and you are happy or a little disappointed in the performance of the product it is best to take note of what products works well from the dealership and what products works well from aftermarket. Both can save you a ton of money down the road.

Here are some pros & con for after market parts

Pros

1) Less expensive:

2) Quality can be equal to or greater than OEM: In some cases, you may end up with a better part than you started with. "The aftermarket companies reverse-engineer the part, and work the weaknesses out,

3) More variety: There are hundreds of companies that make aftermarket parts

4) Better availability:

Cons

1) Quality varies greatly: The saying "you get what you pay for" rings true here. Some aftermarket parts are inferior because of the use of lower-quality materials

2) Overwhelming selection

3) May not have a warranty

Pros & Con from Dealership parts

Pros

1) Comes with a warranty: Most automakers back up their OEM parts with a one-year warranty. And if you get your car repaired at the dealer, they'll usually stand by their labor as well.

2) Easier to choose your part: If you go to the parts counter at a dealership and ask for any part, you will usually get one type.

Cons

1)More expensive

2) Quality may not be superior: You paid the extra money for an OEM part, hoping that it was better than an aftermarket part. But that may not always be the case. Some aftermarket parts are equal to or in some cases better than OEM parts. So you might be paying extra just for the name.

3) Need to be bought at the dealership: most people will go to a dealership to buy their car parts. This limits the number of places you can buy from.

Like I mentioned before, take note of what part works, consult your mechanic and you can and will save money on your next auto repair

When renting a car Age is experience

Renting a car can sometimes be both easy and
confusing. Every rental company has there own set of rules so it is
important to ask questions and also pay close attention to the lingo in
the rental agreement.

Generally speaking though, when someone
decides to rent and they are under the age of 25 there is usually a
surcharge. Surcharge varies from company to company. Some companies might
even do a DMV check to see what kind of driving record the renter has,
specially for luxury brands such as BMW's, Benz, Ferrari, Lamborghini,
Aston Martin, Maserati etc.

The reason for the surcharge is the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says drivers who are
younger than 25 are significantly more likely to get into accidents than
older drivers. After age 25, the per-driver crash rate declines
dramatically and continues to drop until the driver reaches 85.

I
know you might be saying, well, I have a clean driving record why should
I have to pay more? Unfortunately for now that is reality. Look at it
this way, people who live in high crime neighborhoods might have to pay
more for insurance coverage because of demographics even though the
insured has a clean driving record.

But, there is hope! Here is
how you can save. If you have your own auto insurance, you may decline
the rental company insurance. There is usually four different levels of
optional protection you can purchase, CDW, SLP, PAI, and PEC.

In
most cases when you have full coverage auto insurance or in some cases
in certain states just liability insurance coverage provide sufficient
coverage. It is important to verify with your insurance carrier your
coverage and what it will and will not cover while renting a car or van
or any type of rental vehicle.

So shop around! Do your research,
read the rental agreement. Ask questions if you are unsure. Finally, if
you have auto insurance, depending on the type of coverage you have can
definitely save you money although you are under 25 years of age. Do not
pay for something you already have.

If you are looking for minivan rental or Passenger van rental and luxury van rental in New York, check out http://www.vanchoctransport.com

First
you want to research, go online and discuss it with your party who is
also traveling with you. Find out what everyone has in mind, and visit
sites to see what others have said, for example, look at travel photos,
journals and videos posted by real people sharing their experiences.

Hey,
visit some place new this year! Once you and your party have come to an
agreement on where you want to visit the next step is to figure out the
length of the vacation, departure and return dates

This might be
the hard part, there is so much to choose from. Make it exciting, fresh,
new! Once you have decided where you want to visit, start packing! Be
sure to pack your undergarments, pajamas, hygiene items, shoes,
swimsuits/towels if swimming, even first aid kit, you never know.

Decide
on a schedule for what each person wants to do along the way. Gather
everyone together and discuss what you had in mind. Be prepared for
arguments. Everyone must be willing to compromise.

Do you have
pets? If so, Find a pet-sitter ahead of time if your pets cannot come
along. If you decide to bring any, you must remember that they cannot
go inside most restaurants or hotels, and they will have to make
bathroom breaks as well.

Find transportation to your
destination. If you are traveling by ground transportation, renting a
van might be a good option. A minivan, twelve or 15 passenger van might
be great. You get chance to see multiply destinations and saving on
cost because everyone is traveling in one vehicle

Hey,
have fun! take lots of pictures. You might even post some of your pics
or videos for someone to view who might be considering the same
destination you visited

Last but not least, be safe, remember there is life after vacation.
